Introduction to Garment Knitting
June 1, 8, 15 and July 6, 13, 20th
Saturdays 2:00pm-3:30pm
In this knitting class, you will be knitting and adapting the Flax Light Sweater pattern (by Tin Can Knits), making a short sleeve top that is perfect for spring and summer!
Throughout this 6 week course you will be guided through gauge swatching, finding your size, learning to read a pattern, and knitting a basic raglan style top down top.
Requirements: Some basic knitting skills will be needed such as casting on, knitting, purling, knitting in the round on circular needles, and binding off.
Provided: Authentic Belknap Mill yarn, a printed pattern and instruction.
You will need:
-size US #2 /2.75mm 16" or longer circulars (for the collar and ribbing)
-US #5 / 3.75mm 40" or longer circulars (for body of sweater)
